About US
Mental health is one of the most debilitating conditions that a person can experience. It affects the way a person thinks about and perceives the entire world. It is the most complex and testing illness to deal with as a person. It will affect all relationships that a person cultivates and strives to maintain. But there is hope. There have been many advances for those who are seeking medical treatment and there are ways that your physician can help you deal with your diagnosis. Here at NBD Stationary we want to help you get some normalcy in your life. Our foundation is dedicated to Natalie B. Dale who was a long term sufferer of mental health illness. In her memory we have made it our mission to educate and inform the masses about the difficulties and the extent to which mental illness can alter the trajectory of your life. But we also want to let those who suffer from mental illness to know that they are not alone. We want them to know that it is with much love and acceptance that we offer our sympathies and assistance. In many cases mental illness is looked at as a sign in weakness. Typically this holds true for the male gender. Men are particularly prone to denying mental illness for years before ultimately seeing a physician for guidance in a primary care setting, or in the urgent care setting. This is due to the negative connotations that society has placed on mental illness. It is a precident that mental illness means failure, weakness, and lack of accountability. But we, as a society, need to re-evaluate how we assess mental illness so that we can rehabilitate these patients, and get them back on the stationary track of functionality. We need to educate the population about the many manageble mental illnesses that need our understanding, and not our judgement in order to help those afflicted cope with their diagnosis. Because illness comes in many shapes and sizes and with education we can help the afflicted get back on track.
